Preserved_Specimen Frond up to 42 cm long, with ca. 1/2 the length consisting of the smooth, narrow petiole; rhizome 3 mm thick, covered with thick, leathery scales; growing tips of rhizomes white-scaly; backside of fertile fronds completely covered with spores, except along secondary veins and along midrib; backside of sterile fronds silvery.
